WONDERS OF CORBETTDuration : 7 nights / 8 days Places Covered : Delhi - Corbett - Delhi Day 01 : Arrive Delhi ![]() Arrive Delhi late evening. O/n in Delhi. Day 02 : Delhi / Corbett National Park Arrive Corbett National Park in time for lunch and check in at the camp. Afternoon briefing and orientation by a resident naturalist followed by a nature walk around the adjoining forest observing local flora and fauna. O/n at the camp. Day 03 : Corbett National Park (Day return excursion to Bijrani Range) Full day game drive in day visit zone of Bijrani range of the Tiger Reserve - hilly terrain and grassy riverbeds of Bijrani is ideal habitat for various species of deer, wild boar, primates, peafowls and the great hornbill one of the specialty of this park. Packed breakfast and lunch will be served at Forest Rest House. Return to camp in the evening followed by campfire and dinner. O/n at the camp. Day 04 : Corbett National Park (Dhikala) After breakfast depart camp for Dhikala the overnight zone of Corbett National Park for three nights game viewing excursion in the park stopping by en route at Crocodile Pool in the Ramganga River to observe highly endangered
Gharial the fishing eating Crocodile sharing pool with marsh Crocodiles and
Goonch (freshwater shark). Arrive Dhikala Forest Rest House and complete check
in formalities. Late afternoon/evening explore the Dhikala Chaur (Savanna) on
elephant back - Dhikala range that falls in the scenic Ramganga valley is home
to wide range of mammals including large herds of the Asian Elephants, vast
savanna grassland here are perhaps the finest place in North India to observe
these giants. Also, this is the only area in the park where Hog Deers are seen.
O/n at Dhikala Forest Rest House. Day 05 : Corbett National Park (Dhikala) Early morning explore the adjoining forest on elephant back. Later in the morning drive to Ringora the other bank of Ramganga River where you can sight a large number of Crocodiles basking on the riverbank and a breathtaking view of the reservoir beyond. Various species of ducks, waders, storks are at home in this hundred square kilometer lake and over 50 raptor species here are indicators of the rich eco-system. Evening return to the forest rest house. O/n at the FRH. Day 06 : Corbett National Park (Dhikala) Early morning game viewing drive in the surrounding forest. Later in the morning climb on Bichuboji Machan an observation point fixed atop a tree located deep in the forest overlooking a waterhole where a large number of game such as Spotted Deer, Sambar, Wild Boar including predators like Tiger,
Leopard and other lesser cats come for water. Return to the forest rest house
in the evening O/n at the Forest Rest House (FRH).Day 07 : Corbett National Park (Camp) Morning game viewing drive in the Sal forest exploring areas where you have a good chances of encountering the shy Sloth Bear - also these old Sal trees are home to the Great Pied Hornbill, Great Slaty Woodpeckers and Owls such as the Eurasian Eagle Owl, Brown Fish Owl etc. Late morning drive around the forest. Afternoon return to the camp with rest of the day at leisure followed by evening camp fire and dinner Day 08 : Corbett / Delhi Morning depart Corbett for Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel for rest of the day before late evening transfer to airport for onward flight. |
