Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Day 2: Delhi - Jaipur Morning drive to Jaipur on the way excursion to the Amer Fort. One of the finest examples of Rajput architecture, it was the ancient capital of the Kachhawah rulers. The original palace was built by Raja Man Singh and additions were made later by Sawai Jai Singh. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur including visit to the City Palace and its museum, The Palace of Winds, The Observatory and the bazaars. Day 3: Jaipur – Ranthambore. Morning drive to Sawai Madhopur. On arrival transfer to the resort. Afternoon jungle excursion in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Overnight at the resort. Day 4 : Ranthambore Morning and afternoon jungle excursions in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Ranthambore was among one of the very first sanctuaries to come under the aegis of Project Tiger and from a few dozens the number of tigers have increased to a little over a hundred. Now a national park, it has an area of over 400 square kilometers. Day 5: Ranthambore - Bharatpur Morning Jungle excursion. Later transfer to the station for a short journey to Bharatpur. On arrival transfer to the resort. Evening visit the bird sanctuary for a short duration. Overnight at the resort. Day 6: Bharatpur Morning birding in the bird sanctuary including a boat ride to see the nesting colonies of the birds. Overnight at the resort. Day 7: Bharatpur - Agra Morning bird viewing. Later drive to Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. The imperial city of the Mughal dynasty between 1571 and 1584, Fatehpur Sikri was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri is the most popular day excursion from Agra, the city of Taj and capital of invincible Mughals for a long time. On arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon free. Overnight at Hotel. Day 8: Agra - Lucknow Morning sun rise view of the Taj. After breakfast visit the Agra Fort. Late evening transfer to the station for overnight train to Lucknow. Day 9: Lucknow-Dudhwa National Morning arrival in Lucknow and transfer to the hotel. After breakfast visit Bada Imambada a major landmark in Lucknow. It has the famous maze (bhul-bhulaiya) that is not easy to get through. Later drive to Dudhwa Nationak Park (238 kms appx 5 hours). Overnight at forest lodge. The Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in the Lakhimpur-Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh is one of the finest examples of the exceedingly diverse and productive Terai eco-systems. The reserve has an area of 614 sq km. The northern edge of the reserve lies along the Indo-Nepal border while the southern boundary is marked by the river Suheli. Day 10: Dudhwa National Park Full day jungle excursion in the National Park. It is home to a large number of rare and endangered species, which include tiger, leopard, swamp deer, hispid hare, Bengal floricans, etc. It was here in 1984 that a major rhinoceros rehabilitation project was started since these forests had been the habitat of the rhinoceros 150 years ago. Five rhinos were relocated from Assam but two of the females died due to the strains of transportation. These were replaced in 1985 by four more females from Nepal. Day 11: Dudhwa – Corbett National Park Morning depart for Corbett. On arrival transfer to the resort. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the resort. Day 12: Corbett National Park Morning leave for an overnight excursion for the core zone of the Corbett National Park. The drive will be through various parts of the forest and on the way we stop at the Ghariyal pool to see the Ghariyals basking along the river bank. On arrival transfer to the Dhikala Forest rest house. Afternoon jungle excursion around the chor ( grassland) next to the Forest rest house complex. Overnight at the Forest rest House. Day 13: Dhikala (Corbett National Park) Full day game viewing and birding in Dhikala. Overnight at the resort. Day 14: Corbett National Park Morning elephant ride and the jungle excursion. Afternoon lunch drive back through the park to return to the resort out side Dhikala core zone. Overnight at the resort. Day 15: Corbett -Delhi Morning nature walk abd birding around the resort and the river. Later depart for Delhi. On arrival transfer to the hotel for overnight stay. Day 16: Delhi Morning city tour of Old and New Delhi visiting India Gate, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, etc and driving past President’s House. Late evening transfer to the airport for onward flight.
